The first session begins with an introduction to influential "e-learning 2.0" theorists and practictioners, provides an overview of the best and latest Web 2.0 tools for education, and outlines practical methods and techniques for using Web 2.0 in the classroom. Part I showcases collaborative brainstorming, writing, and presentation tools and
includes opportunities for targeted exploration after each "mini" lesson.

Participants will also be given an opportunity to focus on a Web 2.0 tool of their choice and develop the framework of a classroom activity or project. Technical trouble-shooting and classroom management issues will be addressed.
